Quality benefits. Properly remanufactured equipment is functionally equivalent to a new one and does not differ from it in practice. The remanufactured equipment meets or exceeds the functional specifications of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Tools and machinery used in the remanufacturing equipment are the same or similar to those used in their manufacture. While in the remanufacturing process each equipment and its components are fully inspected and tested, in the equipment manufacturing process these are normally inspected by random sampling, which means that the remanufactured equipment has a level of reliability that is equal to or often higher than in a new one.
